This easy to read book is a true "how to" manual. It brings the reader, with minimal knowledge, up to speed on the multitude of issues facing any corporation in today's complex world of people management. Civil rights, affirmative action, benefits, policies, etc., all become clearer and less overbearing to the reader. The form letters and memos were an extra touch that the reader will find extremely helpful. I have personal knowledge of the author and I must tell you he speaks from authority on the subject of Human Resources. I highly recommend this boo

Ethongraphy, Anthology, Short Stories, Interviews, whatever you call it, this book is full of splendid information; the kind of information that was about to get lost in time. There are first hand experiences from the ones who strengthened the revolution but were disappointed and betrayed by it.

I liked the book because it adds one extra dimension to service management: the emotional involvement of the customer and the (new) marketing consequences of it. Also, the structure of the book is good: adding new marketing P's and defining different levels of experience to different lines of business. The overwhelming wealth of practical examples and ideas is another great asset. It will be very useful for me for use in different programs at our CHN university in Leeuwarden, The Netherlands

Experiencing Saint Therese Today is a collection of essays based on conferences given at a symposium sponsored by the Carmelites of the Ancient Observance near Chicago in 1988, to mark the centenary of Therese's entrance into Carmel. Since their publication, they have lost none of their freshness and vigor. Among other topics, Fr. Jim Geoghegan strikingly compares Therese with the photographer Edward Weston. Fr. John Russell examines, probably for the first time in English, the eight "pious recreations" (plays) Therese wrote for the Carmelite recreations. Joann Wolski Conn's "A Feminist View of Therese" finds Therese a mature adult who authored her own life vision and created relationships of mutuality. Fr. Fr. John Sullivan has done a great service to the friends of Therese by making these essays available. If you are tired of the "same old thing" about her, try this book.

An excellent all purpose guide to the Oregon wilderness. Contains detailed maps with landmarks and trials. Covers history, geology, climate, plants & wildlife, hiking, climbing, and other sports.

I thought the artwork was superb and presented some memorable images of tattoo'd people. Interesting to see how the individuals who enjoy bady art come from all walks of life. Although I would never have a tatto myself I found them more easy to understand when presented as art than defiance.

I bought this book after Mr Nixon came to our house to take portraits of my husband and me for a current project. I hadn't known his work before and was intrigued when I saw the big turn-of-the-century camera!

This book shows pictures of Mr Nixon's children and wife in everyday situations, incredibly direct, sincere, and humorous - you feel like you're there with them, only unseen, a ghost invading their family warmth.
